Owner Information : Richard & Barbara Posner, British expatriates originally from London, share a wealth of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Throughout the 1980's they created and operated a highly successful & popular restaurant in London's Mayfair.

Relocating to the sunshine of Sarasota, Florida in 1990, they eventually missed familiar flavors and harbored the vision of introducing the pleasures of top quality British Pies - ancient & modern - to the American market.

On a return trip to the UK in 2002, Richard and Barbara were delighted to find that their beloved Pasties, Pork Pies and Sausage Rolls... long considered just nostalgic, low-key fare... had been reborn as alternative "Fast Food", and long lines of demand were everywhere.

It galvanized a unique concept... Bigger Choice, Better, Tastier, Flakier!
With a variety of options, and with a creative, skillful and imaginative approach, 4 & 20 expanded a simple menu into a 18-wide selection of Meats, Sweets & Vegetarians to suit all tastes, with ingredient quality, flavor and finish as the mission.

This new-wave Pasty, Pork Pie & Sausage Roll Bakery opened on Swift Road, Sarasota, Florida in 2003 and became an immediate success with the local British and connected expat communities in this great section of Florida. We are delighted that the products also caught on fast with American consumers. Each week hundreds of customers visit us for a carry-out Lunch, Dinner or Picnic.

There is limited seating, but we have patrons who regularly make 150 mile, and more, round trips to our atmospheric store, which makes us very proud! They stock up on our frozen Pasties, Pies & Specialities... and authentic Pork Sausages, Back Bacon and other traditional items selectively sourced from dedicated artisan butchers, which makes the trip really worthwhile.

News of our special products quickly spread far and wide with so many satisfied local and out of State 'snowbird' customers... so we started receiving requests for mail order shipments. Seizing the opportunity, a website and online store was established in 2005. So, if you can't make the journey to Sarasota, give us a look & you can shop online.
Our own fresh-baked products and other frozen goodies are carefully packed in custom insulated freezer containers and safely shipped by a Fed-Ex 48 hour service anywhere in the USA or Canada (We are USDA Registered) either by Ground Service or 2-Day Air Express as applicable.
