Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach and the Grand strand offer the perfect destination for a beach vacation. featuring a 60 mile stretch of white sandy beaches, fresh seafood restaurants, historic tours, shopping, fishing, and two ocean side state parks, this destination has something for everyone. North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach, are especially welcoming for families, and a bit further down the coast, Murrell's Inlet is an historic fishing town which has earned the title of seafood capital of South Carolina. For those looking for something a bit more peaceful, Litchfield Beach and Pawleys island offer a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere to the bustling activity around Myrtle Beach.
Hunting Island
Hunting Island in Beaufort, is one of South Carolina's most popular park and beach areas. With a stretch of pure white sandy beach, campground and parking for RV's, this is an ideal location for a family vacation. The island also has the only lighthouse in the state that is open to the public to climb to the top, for amazing view of the ocean, park and wildlife.
Folly Beach
Folly Beach is referred to by the locals as the Edge of America. Just fifteen minutes from Charleston, and nestled between Folly River and the Atlantic Ocean, Folly beach provides a range of activities, from fishing off the pier, fresh fish from the local restaurants, and a range of wildlife, such as dolphins, and loggerhead turtles. Folly Beach also hosts a number of events throughout the year, and is a fantastic beach destination any time of the year.
Sullivan's Island
Sullivan's Island is a small beach town, fifteen minutes from Charleston, which features Fort Moultrie National Monument - built during the revolutionary war. The beach is very relaxed, and marine animals can be found in the ocean including jellyfish and stingrays. There is also handicapped access to the beach.
Kiawah Island
Kiawah Island is a golf resort which offers a wide range of activities for the whole family. As well as an award winning golf course, there is also tennis, kayaking, and beach rental homes. As well as shopping, and many fine dining restaurants featuring local seafood. With over 10 miles of beautiful white sandy beaches, which offer a large swimming area, showers and restrooms, and picnic and bbq areas.
Isle of Palms
Isle of Palms offers something for everyone. With all kinds of boating from kayaking, jet skiing and fishing cruises. Fishing at the marina, or straight off the beach, and two golf courses. Body boards are available for rental, and there are picnicking and changing facilities at the beach. There is also a wide variety of wildlife including the loggerhead turtles who lay their eggs on the beach, and can be spotted hatching.
